Today, we give you a beast to gawk at. This 1986 Land Rover 110 is right-hand drive, has been converted to run a 200tdi engine, has just 27,500 kilometers on the clock, and has a manual transmission.

The rig was imported about a decade ago and had its fluids replaced in 2018 -- they've been maintained since, we're told.

There is some surface corrosion.

There's a list of new or replaced items, including a new turbocharger and intercooler and a new timing belt. The clutch and brakes have been replaced and the cylinder head has been machined.

The Ohio-based seller asks $30,000 for this safari-ready rig. Give it a look see here.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

  • ChristianWimmer EV sales have crashed in Germany and Mercedes’ is feeling the heat. They were ready to drop the ICE and go full EV, but now they claim they will produce what the customer wants - and the customer in Germany/worldwide overwhelmingly wants internal combustion engines and not EVs.Personally I have no issue with the 4-cylinder AMG motor in the AMG C-Class or in the new SL since modern 4-cylinders are great in the NVH department. At least buyers now have a choice of a 4-cylinder, inline-6 or a V8. Bring back the V12 while they are it!!!!
